Ryan Messick carried a no-hitter into the bottom of the seventh inning, helping Jesuit Dallas score a critical district road win on Tuesday with a 6-2 victory against Plano. On Friday, the Rangers will welcome the Wildcats to Wright Field trailing Plano by a game for the final playoff spot in District 9-6A with five games remaining in the district schedule.

Tyson Pointer launched a two-run home run in the third inning to give Jesuit an early 3-0 lead, finishing the game 3-for-3 at the plate. Messick finished the game with 6.1 innings on the mound, striking out five batters while only walking three and allowing two runs on two hits. Junior
Jalon Mack added a pair of hits and two RBI, becoming one of three Rangers to record a double alongside seniors
Jack Lynch and
Garrett Reuben. Lynch and sophomore
Gavin Perryman added the Rangers' final RBIs of the game as Jesuit opened the game with six unanswered runs en route to the win.

A double by Reuben and single by Pointer put runners at the corners with no outs in the top of the second. Junior
Alek Houillion was hit by a pitch to load the bases before Perryman took a hit by pitch to plate Reuben and give Jesuit its first run of the game. With two outs in the top of the third and Mack on first after a single to center, Pointer crushed a 1-2 pitch to deep left center field to give Jesuit a 3-0 lead.

In the top of the fourth, the Rangers scored three runs on two hits, all of which occurred with two outs in the inning. Sophomore
Connor Chavez was hit by a pitch before junior
Braxton Boyle was walked to put two runners on. Lynch doubled to right center to drive in Chavez before a double to left center plated Lynch and Boyle for a 6-0 lead.

Messick held the Wildcats in check after working his way out of a runner in scoring position during the third inning. The junior retired Plano in order during the fourth and fifth inning before striking out the final two outs of the sixth after hitting the leadoff hitter. Matthew Cox entered the game to retire the final two outs of the game and clinch the win for the Rangers.

First pitch between the Rangers and Wildcats will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Wright Field, and the contest will be broadcast live on JesuitRangers.org. Jesuit's three-game week will then conclude with a non-district bout at Midlothian H.S. on Saturday at 1 p.m. before the team's penultimate district series of the season against McKinney next week.
