McCown opened the scoring with a goal 40 seconds into the first period before Frisco scored four unanswered goal stop take a dominating lead early in the second period. McCown added his second goal of the contest on the power play with 10:34 remaining in the quarter before Cohen lit the lamp for his first career varsity goal 14 seconds after McCown to reduce the Frisco lead to a single goal.

After Jesuit reduced the lead to one goal, Frisco locked down on the Jesuit offense and scored two goals over the remaining 10 minutes of the second period to take a 6-3 lead into the third. Frisco would shut out Jesuit in the third period, out-shooting the Blue and Gold, 15-6 and scoring two goals over the final three minutes to clinch the win.

Jesuit will continue the season on Thursday, Sept. 26 against Highland Park. Last season, Jesuit won two of three games against Highland Park. Puck drop is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. at the Children's Health StarCenter in Richardson.
