HOCKEY PREVIEW: Jesuit Returns to Action Against Keller

Jesuit Dallas Drops 4-2 Decision to McKinney: The Rangers gave up three unanswered goals at a critical turning point of a 4-2 setback to McKinney on Thursday at the Richardson StarCenter. Jesuit Dallas saw goals scored by freshman Charlie McCarthy and sophomore Kyle Hogan, but were unable to cash in on a late comeback attempt.

McCarthy scored his fifth goal of the season early in the second period, taking a feed from senior Seth Dragojevic and finding the back of the net. Currently, McCarthy leads the Rangers in scoring with seven points on five goals and two assists while Dragojevic ranks second on the team with two goals and two assists for four total points.

Junior Santiago Diaz assisted on Hogan's first goal of the season, recording his third point of the 2020-21 campaign. Senior William Carney picked up 19 saves in net while Jesuit Dallas only allowed two power play chances during the contest.

Scouting Keller: Keller lost its first game of the season, 7-2, to Frisco last Thursday, ending a seven-game winning streak to start the year. Cannon Bonifay is currently tied for the league lead with three power play goals, while Brandon Clinard leads the league in goals against average (1.00) and save percentage (.947)

Last Time They Met: Jesuit Dallas hockey snapped a three-game skid on Thursday by upending Keller, 7-3, on Thursday at the Dr. Pepper StarCenter in Euless. Five Rangers found twine as Jesuit increased its lead for third place in the AT&T Metroplex Hockey League Varsity Gold division to six points heading into the final three weeks of the season.Sophomore Seth Dragojevic and senior JonMichael Dragojevic scored two goals apiece for the Rangers as seniors Bryce Clark and Nicholas Zang lit the lamp. Freshman Chase Neel scored a goal and logged an assist for Jesuit as senior Joseph Van Beek secured a pair of assists on the evening. Senior Caden Rupnow made 15 saves as the Rangers earned their third win of the season over Keller.

Up Next: Following a break for Thanksgiving week, Jesuit will return to the Richardson StarCenter for a 7 p.m. matchup against Southlake Carroll.
