The Woodlands scored the first goal of the game late in the first period, taking a 1-0 lead into the second before Teachout's first goal of the game at the 6:25 mark of the quarter. Teachout would strike again with 1:04 left before halftime, sending Jesuit into the halftime break with a one-goal lead.

In the second half, the Highlanders scored two goals over the span of 45 seconds to take the lead back. The Jesuit defense forced three Woodlands turnovers in the third quarter, opening the door for Jesuit. Metz scored an unassisted goal to tie the game before Fernandez put the Rangers ahead with 1:34 left in the third quarter, sending Jesuit into the fourth with a 4-3 lead.

Hovivian scored goals at the 9:32 and 6:04 mark to spot Jesuit a three-goal lead. Teachout added his third goal of the game with 2:42 left to ice the game. The Ranger defense excelled in the fourth quarter, securing five ground balls, causing turnovers on two of the Woodlands' three clear attempts while outshooting the Highlanders, 12-3.

Jesuit will return to Postell Stadium for two games next week. The week will begin on Thursday, Feb. 20 against Prosper before the Rangers host Austin Westlake at 1 p.m. on Feb. 22.
