The Jesuit Dallas senior class combined to score 33 points as the Rangers concluded the 2019-20 season with a 57-44 win over McKinney Boyd on Tuesday at Walsh Gymnasium. Jesuit outscored the Broncos, 13-4, in the second quarter to run away from Boyd in the season finale, anchored by stellar performances from the senior class.

T-Monk Simons hit two three-pointers, finishing up a full stat line with eight points, four assists and three rebounds. Fellow fourth year
Darryl Brown finished his Jesuit career with 10 points, six rebounds, four blocks, a steal and an assist while senior
Luke Lucido added nine points, a team-leading five assists and three steals. Senior
Eli Steger scored six points and secured two rebounds to complete the senior stat line, which totaled 33 points, 14 rebounds, nine assists, five steals and four blocks.

Simons found Brown for an alley-oop slam dunk to open the game as Jesuit shot 5-of-11 from the floor to take an 11-10 lead heading into the second quarter. In the second quarter, Boyd shot 1-for-7 while Jesuit went 5-for-10 to secure a 24-14 lead heading into halftime. Perryman scored six points in the second quarter as the Rangers held the Broncos to only one made field goal en route to a 10-point halftime lead.

The Rangers kept the pressure up in the second half, countering a 9-0 run by Boyd that cut the lead to two points with a nine-point run of their own to return the lead to double digits. Lucido buried a three-pointer with 21 seconds remaining in the third, then a missed jumper led to a fast break layup by junior
Conor Moore on a feed from Perryman at the buzzer, sending Jesuit into the fourth with a 40-29 lead.

Boyd cut the lead to single digits for the final time with 4:57 remaining in the fourth before another three-pointer by Lucido and fast break layup by Steger put Jesuit up 14 with 2:38 remaining. Simons hit the team's final three-pointer of the season at the 1:29 mark to put the game away as the senior class received its final curtain call on the ensuing possession.
