In a wild, back and forth game that saw McKinney rebound from an eight-point deficit in the fourth after Jesuit came storming back from a six-point deficit right before halftime, Lions guard Blaise Roney hit a three-pointer with 38 seconds remaining in double overtime to lift McKinney past the Rangers, 62-60, on Friday night.

The Rangers hit two of their first three shots from behind the arc to take an early, 8-4 lead, but McKinney took control of the game with a 20-10 run to take a 24-18 lead with 1:44 left before halftime. Perryman and Brown hit jumpers over the final minute to go into the break trailing by two points.

Jesuit took the lead out of the gate in the second half, taking a 36-30 lead at the 2:04 mark after a key three-pointer by Perryman. Roy buried a three with 10 seconds remaining to send Jesuit into the fourth with a four-point lead. Senior
T-Monk Simons gave Jesuit a three-possession lead with a three-pointer to open the fourth, but the Lions started the comeback with a fast break layup, starting an 11-6 run that put McKinney up, 48-47, with 3:01 remaining in regulation.

Moore converted a layup and two free throws to give Jesuit a four-point lead with 1:24 left in second overtime, but McKinney ended the game on a 6-0 run, capped by the three-pointer by Roney that put the Lions ahead with 38 seconds left. Jesuit's last chance fell short as a missed three-pointer by Linn was rebounded by McKinney with 0.5 seconds remaining.

Jesuit will return to Walsh Gym on Tuesday to face Plano East, then travel to Plano on Friday evening to battle Plano West. The 2019-20 will draw to a conclusion on Tuesday, Feb. 18 against McKinney Boyd.
