McAllister Hobbs completed a hat trick with a walk-off goal in double overtime to give Jesuit Dallas as massive win over division rival ESD, 11-10, on Wednesday at Postell Stadium. The Rangers remain unbeaten on the year with the win, taking a 6-0 record into Saturday's matchup against Lake Travis.

Jesuit trailed ESD by three goals with 8:08 remaining but came storming back over the final moments of regulation before Hobbs scored with eight seconds remaining in the fourth to force overtime.

Hobbs earned his second consecutive hat trick, closing the game with a team-leading five points off of three goals and two assists. Junior

Cameron Martin netted two goals, including a goal with nine seconds left in the third quarter that stopped a run of four unanswered goals by the Eagles.

Daniel LePino came up huge in the cage with 14 saves, including four stops in the fourth quarter to open the door for the rally. Senior
Jack Selner caused a team-leading three turnovers while securing two ground balls. Junior
Henry Suarez won 10 faceoffs and secured eight ground balls, adding an electric first quarter goal in transition.

The Ranger defense played a key role in the last-second equalizer, as ESD was forced to pass around the perimeter over the final two minutes of the game, aiming to run out the clock with a one-goal lead. The Eagles were called for a stall after the Ranger defense did not allow a shot or run towards the crease, giving Jesuit the ball with 17 seconds left after the shot clock expired. Hobbs took the ball at midfield off a pass from Chen, ran directly towards the crease and fired home the game-tying goal, sending the rain-soaked crowd into a frenzy.

In the second overtime, Jesuit's defense held firm after ESD won the faceoff to force a second extra session. Hobbs scored the game winner on a fantastic, cross-crease pass by junior
Tilt Fernandes, which Hobbs bounced off the turf to end the game.

ESD struck first with two unanswered goals in the first quarter before Rose scored off a feed from Fernandes to score Jesuit's first goal of the game. Suarez won the ensuing faceoff and ran through the Eagle defense, shaking off several check to fire home the equalizer with 5:08 remaining in the first. Jesuit took its first lead of the game with 9:06 remaining in the second after Fernandes netted his second goal of the game unassisted.

With 2:30 remaining in the second quarter, Hobbs scored his first point of the game on a feed to Martin, who ripped a shot past ESD netminder Max Beuck to give Jesuit the lead back. Hobbs scored his first goal of the game with 22 seconds left before halftime, but the Eagles scored off the ensuing faceoff to send the game into halftime with Jesuit holding a 5-4 lead.

The Eagles took the momentum from the late second quarter goal and took a three-goal lead with 36 seconds remaining in the third quarter. Martin snapped the run and gave Jesuit a huge boost with nine seconds left, sending home a rebounded shot that clanged off the post to cut the Eagle lead to one goal heading into the fourth. ESD re-built a three-goal lead with 8:08 remaining before Jesuit began its game-tying rally.

Tommy Hovivian scored his first goal of the game with 7:57 left to start the run. Hobbs fed Rose for a goal at the 3:58 mark to cut the lead down to one before Hobbs' equalizer.

Jesuit will welcome Lake Travis to Postell Stadium for a 1 p.m. showdown on Saturday before closing the season-opening, eight-game home stand next Tuesday against Flower Mound.
