Jesuit rode a strong start and several clutch buckets down the stretch to a 76-64 win over Lake Highlands on Saturday in Dallas, Texas. The Rangers move into a busy, three-game week with a 1-1 district record after an impressive outing that saw three seniors lead the charge against the Wildcats.

Conor Moore scored a career-high 20 points, recording this third double-double of the season with 10 rebounds. The senior threw down an emphatic dunk through traffic in the third quarter, converting the traditional three-point play and taking the momentum back from a Wildcat rally. Senior
Gavin Perryman scored a team-leading 21 points, adding a team-high five assists, seven rebounds and a key fourth quarter block with a minute remaining.

Cal Linn scored 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting, drilling a trio of three-pointers. Senior
Camden Roy and sophomore
Owen Berry added five points each as Roy added five rebounds and two steals. Junior
Ben Johnson secured four boards and scored four points while senior

Jesuit leapt out to a 22-10 lead at the end of the first quarter before Lake Highlands scored 19 points in the second quarter to go into the halftime down by four points.

After only hitting one three-pointer in the first half, Jesuit's perimeter shooters caught their stride in the second half, converting on 6-of-8 shot attempts from behind the arc to help pave the way for the win.

The Rangers scored 38 points in the paint, out-rebounded Lake Highlands, 33-24, and scored 12 second chance points off of 12 offensive rebounds.

Jesuit will return to action on Tuesday, when the Rangers will travel to Irving, Texas to battle MacArthur. The Rangers and Cardinals will square off at 7 p.m. in the first of three matchups for Jesuit next week. Jesuit will welcome Nimitz to Walsh Gym for a 7 p.m. clash on Friday, Jan. 8 before closing the week at 1 p.m. on the road against state-ranked Richardson.
