Jesuit Dallas Concludes Season in Area Round

Jesuit Dallas saw the 2021 season draw to a conclusion in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Region I-6A area round to Denton Guyer on Friday at The Star in Frisco. The Rangers conclude the 2021 campaign with their first district championship since 2017, the program's fourth playoff victory over the last five years and become only the second team since 2015 to secure a double-digit win season.

The Rangers' lone touchdown of the evening came on a 75-yard completion from senior Gage Roy to senior Hunter Krepp, allowing Jesuit to get on the board after Guyer opened up the game with 21 unanswered points en route to a 59-7 win. Roy finished the game completing 19-of-32 passes for 200 yards, concluding his Jesuit Dallas career with 5,480 yards and 56 touchdowns after racking up 2,798 yards during his senior season. Krepp secured four catches for 124 yards, ending his career with 2,103 receiving yards and 25 receiving touchdowns.

Senior Robert Fitzgerald capped his stellar Jesuit career with 122 all-purpose yards, racking up 98 rushing yards on 17 carries, securing a team-leading nine receptions for 24 yards and picking up 10 tackles on defense. Fitzgerald emerged as one of the top all-around players in the state during his senior year, leading the team with 877 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns this season while finishing second on the team with 71 tackles.

Defensively, senior David Long secured a team-leading 15 tackles (five solo, 10 assisted), matching his career-best mark recorded earlier this season against Nimitz (Oct. 14). Seniors Andrew Charlton and Matthew Craycraft picked up seven tackles apiece while seniors Charlie Freeman and Lucas Hernandez picked up six and five tackles, respectively.
