The Rangers punched their ticket back to the University Interscholastic League (UIL) 6A State Tournament, dominating from wire to wire for a 67-40 win over Nimitz on Tuesday in Irving, Texas. Jesuit scored 36 points in the paint and 21 second chance points off of 18 offensive rebounds for their eighth district win of the year.

Conor Moore kept his double-double streak intact as the fourth year forwarded notched his this consecutive double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Moore has picked up double-doubles in six of his last seven games and has averaged 14.6 points and 10.1 rebounds over that span.

Gavin Perryman added 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting while sophomore Dylan Gibbons racked up a career-high nine points, hitting all four of his shots attempted in the first half. Senior

Jesuit shot 47.4 percent from the floor, 39.1 percent from three-point range and out-rebounded Nimitz, 43-21. Forcing nine Viking turnovers and holding Nimitz to 2-of-14 from behind the arc, the Rangers used a massive, 36-9 run that spanned from the 1:06 mark of the first quarter to the 3:55 mark of the third to take a 30-point lead.

The Rangers will next return to Walsh Gym for senior night against Berkner. Prior to the contest, the Jesuit Dallas basketball program will honor the eight members of the senior class;
