Benton Bacile put a jolt in the Jesuit Dallas offense with a goal in the 66th minute, but an aggressive and relentless El Paso Eastlake scored four goals on 28 shots to end the 2021 Jesuit Dallas soccer season as the Rangers fell, 4-1, to the Falcons on Tuesday afternoon at San Angelo ISD Stadium. Jesuit concludes the season with a 17-4-3 record and secured their deepest postseason run since 2017 with a berth in the Sweet 16.

Ryan Shea assisted on Bacile's goal, a shot that saw the senior send a well-hit ball into the lower left 90 to give Jesuit an opportunity late after Eastlake opened the contest with three unanswered goals. Overall, Eastlake placed 15 shots on target, forcing sophomore
Cole Hines to make 11 saves in goal to push his postseason total to 28 during the team's four-game postseason run.
Jesuit took 12 shots during the contest, including six attempts on target, and earned five corner kicks. Senior
Spence Gilker put the pressure on the Falcons with five shots, including two shots on goal, as junior
Arnold Perez-Valenzuela took three shots. Shea added a shot on goal while Bacile cashed in on one of his two attempts on target.
Although the Jesuit Dallas soccer season concluded on Tuesday, it was the final chapter of another stellar run for the historically successful program. The Rangers earned a spot in the regional semifinal with a run that included victory in penalty kicks over Bowie in the bi-district round, a 1-0 win over Denton Guyer in the area round and another penalty kick victory over McKinney Boyd in the regional quarterfinal.
