The 2022 track and field season started on Friday as Jesuit Dallas competed in the 2022 Texas Tech Under Armour High School Classic in Lubbock.

Jesuit's 4x400 relay team, consisting of
Patrick Bennett,
Caden Cutchall,
Charlie Humbert and
Cole Younger secured the team's top finish at the event, placing eighth with a 3:31.39 total relay time. Senior
Blake Hunter tacked on a pair of top-15 finishes, finishing 11th with a personal-best 12.47-meter triple jump and 15th with a personal-best 6.13-meter leap in the long jump. Senior
Lucas Hernandez also set a new personal best, finishing 14th in the shot put with a throw of 13 meters.

Bennett added a 22.43 in the 200-meter dash, crossing the line in 22.43. Senior
Ike Pawsat placed 17th in the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:10.03. Senior
Finn Soesbe tacked on an 8.81 in the 60-meter hurdes, finishing 17th overall.

The Jesuit Dallas track and field season will continue on Thursday, Feb. 3 when Jesuit will host Highland Park for a scrimmage meet at Postell Stadium. Jesuit's first outdoor weekend meet is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 18 when the Blue and Gold will compete at the McKinney Boyd Relays at Ron Poe Stadium.
