William Hubbell scored a hat trick and a determined Jesuit Dallas squad out-shot Strake, 52-7 en route to a dominant, 11-1 win over the Crusaders on Saturday at the Valley Ranch StarCenter. Jesuit will advance to Sunday's Texas Amateur Hockey Association (TAHA) Division I Pure State Championship game against Strake with the victory, and will have the opportunity to secure the program's fifth straight state title on Sunday at 12 p.m.
Hubbell secured the hat trick with two goals in the second and one final tally in the third.
Travis Hogan closed out the contest with a team-high four points on two goals and two assists.
Kyle Hogan and
Mitchell Zenick secured two goals apiece while the scoring column was completed by
Danny Myung and
Chris Sweda, who each scored one goal.Â
The Rangers held Strake to no goals on three power play chances, while goalie
Jayson Hess finished the bout with six saves.

Ryan Virkar secured two assists each while
Jack Bowdich,
Connor Sughrue,
William Sahadevan,
Conor Parro,
Ewan Randles and Myung each secured an assist.
Jesuit and Strake will meet again on Sunday for the TAHA title, marking the second consecutive year that the two teams will compete in the state final. Last season, the Rangers upended Strake, 5-1, in the title game. Puck drop is set for 12 p.m.
