Jesuit's 4x800 relay team set a new school record in the event en route to winning the event at the 2023 McKinney Boyd Relays, held on Feb. 17-18 at Ron Poe Stadium. 

The Ranger relay team of Henry Beckman, Caden Cutchall, Ben McKinney and Charlie Thornton broke the tape in 8:02.88, toppling the previous program record of 8:05.5, recorded by the team of Taylor Bredow, Joe Turnage, Matt McEvoy and Jef Pels in 2005. Jesuit's victory was one of a trio of top-three finishes for the Jesuit Dallas relay contingent, as the Rangers 4x400 relay team finished 3rd (3:33.67) and the distance medley relay team earned a bronze medal (10:57.47).

Freshman Jesse Jenkins finished third in his first varsity meet, clearing the 13-foot bar. Junior Rodrigo Navarro placed fourth in the high jump, setting a new personal best by clearing the 5-10 bar, while senior Jameson Kemp placed eighth in the shot put with a 42-0 throw. Senior Charlie Humbert placed sixth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 43.14.

Jesuit Dallas will continue its season on Feb. 24, when the Blue and Gold will travel to the Allen Eagle Relays. The meet is set to take place at the Lowery Freshman Center.
