The Rangers held firm following a game-opening, 14-point salvo from Lake Highlands, but were unable to make the fourth quarter rally and suffered their first district loss of the season, 28-14, to the Wildcats on Friday at Ranger Stadium.

Charlie Peters completed 19-of-34 passes for 192 yards, a touchdown and an interception, adding a team-high 10 carries for 49 net yards and a touchdown. Senior

Henry Bourret led the team in receiving yards with two catches for 58 yards and a touchdown and senior

Bobby Musso forced a fumble that was recovered by Thompson, and junior
Robert Prager intercepted a pass at the end of the first half. Seniors
Connor Raney and Bird tied for the team lead with two pass breakups apiece, while junior
Cade Gill made two tackles for loss.

Jesuit will return to district play on Friday, Sept. 22 when the Blue and Gold head to Irving to take on the Tigers. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. at Joy and Ralph Ellis Stadium.
