The 2023-24 hockey season began in resounding fashion on Wednesday, as the Rangers secured a 7-0, shutout win over McKinney to begin the year 1-0 in league play.

Jesuit was paced by seven different goal scorers as
Jack Bowdich,
Jackson Deininger,
Rex Garrick,
William Hubbell,
Liam Placke,
Maxwell Reynolds and
Allen Zhang each lit the lamp. Garrick, Placke, Reynolds and Zhang would tie for the team lead with two points apiece as each skater secured a goal and an assist. In his Jesuit Dallas debut, goalie
Misha Saratovtsev earned his first shutout with a 25-save performance.

The Rangers will continue league play on Oct. 4, when the Rangers battle Flower Mound/Marcus. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. at the StarCenter in Farmers Branch.
