Jesuit Dallas Secures Sixth Straight TAHA State Championship Title

Jesuit Dallas won its sixth straight Texas Amateur Hockey Association (TAHA) Division I Pure State Championship Title with a 4-0 win over Allen in the 2024 TAHA Division I Pure title game on Sunday at the Valley Ranch StarCenter.

After a scoreless first period, junior Andrew Theisen opened the scoring with a tally assisted by senior Liam Placke to spot the Rangers a 1-0 advantage. Minutes later, senior Jack Bowdich sent a feed from sophomore Wade Bryan past the Eagles' netminder for a two-goal advantage. Bryan would add a tally of his own six minutes into the third period before Bowdich finished the scoring for the Rangers.

Senior goalkeeper Misha Saratovtsev earned the shutout with 28 saves, helping the Rangers finish off the Eagles for the state championship.

The Rangers will return to league play on January 31, where Jesuit will target a postseason berth over the final four games of the regular season. Sunday's victory assures Jesuit's berth in the upcoming 2024 Chipotle-USA Hockey High School National Championship Tournament, which is scheduled for Mar. 20-24 in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
