The state-ranked No. 11 Jesuit Dallas baseball team secured its second district win of the season on Tuesday, upending Lake Highlands, 8-0 at Wright Field.

Sophomore Taylor Haddock launched a home run in the bottom of the first to continue a statement-making opening salvo that helped Jesuit build a 6-0 lead through two innings. Junior Asher Levy delivered a sensational performance on the mound, throwing six innings of two-hit work and striking out three batters.

Junior Jake Fults drove in a pair of runs while seniors Tristen Bird and Cameron Davis picked up one RBI each. Senior Joe Allen entered the game for the Rangers in the seventh, striking out one batter en route to helping Jesuit clinch the shutout victory.

The Rangers will close their season series against the Wildcats on Friday, as Jesuit will travel to Lake Highlands H.S. for a 7 p.m. first pitch.
