MCKINNEY, Texas - The Jesuit Dallas hockey team fell to Frisco, 4-3 in overtime at the McKinney StarCenter on Wednesday.
Jesuit (1-2) got goals from
Wade Bryan, Benjamin Khalil and
Christopher Osler. The Rangers outshot Frisco 30-26.
Thomas Strand made 22 saves in goal.
Jesuit got up early when Bryan found the back of the net 3:33 into the first period. Frisco took a 2-1 lead with a pair of scores late in the second period. The Rangers regained the momentum with two goals in the first four minutes of the third period, but Frisco tied it 19 seconds later to knot the score at 3-3.
That's the way things stood through the end of regulation before Frisco's Tyler Jensen got the game-winner with 3:08 left in the extra session.
Jesuit will return to the ice next Wednesday, October. 8 against Highland Park. The puck drops at 9:15 p.m. at the Farmers Branch StarCenter.
