Lacrosse Dominates Out-of-State Showdown Against Skyline

Jesuit Dallas lacrosse concluded a season-defining weekend with its third 20-goal game since 2024, upending Skyline (Wash.), 20-1, on Saturday at Ranger Stadium.
 
Junior Holden Spurgin led the way for Jesuit with a four-goal outing, followed by a hat trick from junior Jack Lynch. Junior Marshall Sorokwasz and senior Declan McGarity scored two goals apiece while additional tallies were racked up by freshman Jake Struznik, junior Andrew Ditchman, senior Henry Latta, sophomore J.C. Fife, junior David Atwell, junior Patrick Gagliardi, sophomore Alex Jimenez, junior Thompson Haddock and junior Hudson Neri.
 
Sorokwasz led the team with three assists while Atwell, Ditchman, Fife, Latta, McGarity, Spurgin, Struznik, junior Hayden Alfano, junior Cayden Bartusek, junior Wil Fagan, junior Stone Tubbs and senior Arsen Ventura secured one assist apiece. Sophomore Declan Kissock earned the win in goal, holding the Spartans to one goal while making three saves.
 
Senior Caleb Caldwell won 14-of-16 face-off attempts while Thompson went 9-for-9 from the "x". Caldwell would secure 10 ground balls to lead the team, followed by six ground balls from Struznik and five from Haddock. The Rangers caused five turners as McGarity, junior Davis Skinner, senior Michael Neitzel, Neri and Fife caused a Skyline turnover.
 
Jesuit will return to divisional play on Tuesday, April 15 as the Rangers travel to Willow Springs Middle School to face Lovejoy. Face-off is set for 7 p.m.
