DALLAS - The Jesuit Dallas rugby team picked up a strong 37-17 victory over HEB Rugby on Thursday at Ranger Stadium.
Jesuit got out to a 14-5 lead on tries by
Rivers Amison and Myles Hendricks.
HEB pulled to within 14-12 with a late score in the first half.
Seven minutes into the second half, the Rangers were awarded a penalty try from the middle of the field that
Alec Ramon converted for three points. Jesuit added consecutive tries and conversions to extend the lead to 31-12 with 20 minutes remaining.
HEB scored a try and Jesuit added two more penalty kicks for the final tally.
Jesuit will return to action on Thursday night when it plays host to Allen at 7:30 p.m. The team will recognize its nearly two-dozen Seniors prior to the game.
