GAME PREVIEW
• Jesuit welcome McKinney Boyd to Ranger Stadium this week for Homecoming. Kickoff at Ranger Stadium is at 7:00 p.m.
• Jesuit opened District 6-6A play with a 45-0 road win over Princeton last week. It was the first shutout since the 2023 season and the ninth-consecutive year to open district play with a win. A win on Friday would be the second-straight year to start 2-0 and the fourth time in the last six seasons.

HAPPY HOMECOMING
• Jesuit is celebrating Homecoming this weekend. The Rangers have won 10 of their last 12 Homecoming games.

PETER GEHAN '85 NAMED DISTINGUISHED ALUMNUS
• The school announced Peter Gehan '85 as the 2026 Jesuit Dallas Distinguished Alumnus. Gehan currently serves as the founder, president, and CEO of Four Twelve Capital, a real estate investment firm specializing in the single-family residential development market. Previously, he was co-owner and chief information officer of Gehan Homes LTD, which grew to become one of the largest homebuilders in the United States. 

OFFENSE INFO
• Jesuit ranks fourth or fifth in most of the offensive categories in District 6-6A, averaging 32 points per game with 393.0 yards of total offense. They are putting up 215.3 passing yards per game and are third in the district with 167.8 rushing yards per contest.
• Junior QB JP Livingstone has completed 62-of-98 passing for 759 yards and five TD this season. After two interceptions in the opener at Sachse, he has not thrown a pick in his last 77 pass attempts. While not a run-first QB, he did show some of his speed on a 17-yard TD run late in the first half at Princeton.

RECEIVING INFO
• Senior Joseph Konings ranks second in the district with 406 receiving yards. His 21 receptions are third and his three TD are tied for fifth. 
• Senior Max Smith has also been a solid target for Livingstone, hauling in 14 passes for 125 yards. Senior WR Chase Brown has caught 12 balls for 54 yards and a TD.
• Four different players have caught a TD pass, including one each for running backs Ty Daboub and George Gladstone.

RUSHING INFO
• Jesuit has rushed for over 135 each of the last three games and is averaging 167.8 yards per game and 5.5 yards per run through the first four games this season.
• Last week the Rangers went for 269 yards on 35 carries - both season highs. The rushing total was the highest since going for 286 at Berkner last season.
• Senior RB Ty Daboub has taken 63 rushes for 373 yards and eight TD on the ground, with eight receptions for 34 yards and a TD receiving. Against Rockwall he had a career-high game with 131 yards and three scores before following it up with 124 and three more against Forney two weeks ago.

OH MY GEORGE GLADSTONE!
• Junior RB George Gladstone has shown explosive running ability all season but nothing like last week at Princeton when he took a ball untouched for an 84-yard TD run. This season he has 13 carries for 171 yards and an 13.2 per rush average, which ranks first in District 6-6A. He has four first down runs of 13, 20, 23 and 84 yards.
• The run was the longest by a Ranger since 2019 when Kyle Heckel broke off a 94 yard scoring run at Allen.

DEFENSE INFO
• Senior FS Mack Murphy leads the team with 37 tackles, including 18 solos. He had back-to-back double-digit tackle games with a career-high 14 tackles against Rockwall and 11 versus Forney, before five solo stops and a pass break-up last week at Princeton. He made 34 with 2 pass break ups as a junior in 2025.
• Senior OLB Simon McGoldrick entered the year as the team's leading returning tackler with 60 stops and 33 solos in 2025. In four games this season he is tied for second on the team with 26 tackles and four TFL, along with a sack and three QB hurries.
• Senior LB Jud Harris has played bigger than his size, compiling 26 tackles in the last two games, including three TFL, a sack, a QB hurry and a pass break-up.

SPECIAL TEAMS INFO
• Sophomore PK Kelby Bishop has been perfect on 17 PATs, while making 3-of-6 FG. He is second on the team in scoring with 26 points.

DID YOU KNOW?
• Ty Daboub became the first Ranger to score three TD in consecutive games since 2022 when Charlie Schmidt rushed for three against Richardson and four vs. Arlington.

THE ROAD TRIPS BEGIN
• With the start of district 6-6A play last week, that means Jesuit will play road games at Princeton, at Allen and twice to Prosper ISD Stadium (for Walnut Grove and Rock Hill) this season.
• The 34 miles from Jesuit to Princeton's Jackie Hendricks Stadium marks the longest road trip for a Jesuit team to play a district game since joining the UIL in 2004. The previous longest was 29 miles to South Grand Prairie on Nov. 9, 2007.

DISTRICT INFO
• Jesuit has won its last eight district openers and has gone 11-4 to start district play in Brandon Hickman's 15 previous seasons. In fact, the Rangers dropped their first three under Hickman from 2011-13 and have gone 11-1 since 2014.
• The 1-2 non-district record is nothing to be alarmed about. Brandon Hickman has routinely scheduled tough early-season games to prepare his teams for the tough opponents they will face over the most important part of the season.

ABOUT BOYD
• Boyd enters the contest 1-3 overall and 0-1 in district play following a 27-0 home loss to Rock Hill.
• Boyd ranks sixth in 6-6A with 317 yards of total offense - 237.3 yards passing and a district-low 80 yards on the ground. On defense, they are seventh in the district with 411 yards allowed and a league low 248.8 rushing yards allowed.
• Major Smith has thrown for 948 yards this season on 69-of-120 (.580) with seven TD and two interceptions. He had just 81 passing yards last week after throwing for at least 246 in the previous three contests.
• Three receivers - AJ Stewart, Timothy Karsholt and Hudson Drake - all have 15-plus receptions, between 223-260 receiving yards and each has two TD. Jett Hilliard had a 50-yard TD reception at Keller two weeks ago.
• On the ground, Kaiden Washington has 55 of the team's 111 carries for 269 yards. Timothy Karsholt has the only two rushing TD.
• On special teams, they are 7-for-8 on PAT and 4-for-6 on field goals, with a long of 40 yards.
• Stu Johnson is in his second season as the head coach after six years as the defensive coordinator and college recruiting coordinator at Lewisville HS. In 2022, the Farmers made a deep playoff run to the State Quarterfinals and finished the season third in scoring defense and sixth in total defense in D/FW. The following season saw even stronger numbers as the Farmers' defense rose to number one in scoring defense and third in total defense in the area.

• Jesuit and Boyd are meeting for the sixth time this week, with the Rangers holding a 4-1 series lead.

JESUIT WITH FAST STARTS EACH GAME
• Jesuit has scored on its first possession in each game this season.
• At Sachse, it was a JP Livingstone 25-yard pass to Joseph Konings to cap a 6-play, 73-yard drive.
• Against Rockwall, Livingstone found Konings from 10 yards out on a 41-yard drive that was set up by an Andres Vann 41-yard kickoff return.
• Versus Forney, Ty Daboub capped a 9-play, 79-yard drive with a 1-yard run.
• In the district opener at Princeton, JP Livingstone completed a 7-yard pass to Ty Daboub on a 10-play, 63-yard drive.

• The sports experts say teams make the biggest improvement from game one to game two. They must be right because the Rangers made improvement in a number of areas from the Sachse game to the Rockwall game.

• In four games this season, Jesuit has collected two fumbles and four interceptions, with a season-high three turnovers at Princeton last week.

• In 2025, the Jesuit defense forced 18 turnovers, with 17 coming in the last eight games. The Rangers collected seven interceptions and 11 fumble recoveries with the offense scoring off 12 of those opportunities, including eight of the last 12.

JESUIT SACK PARTY
• The Jesuit defense did a solid job of disrupting opposing quarterbacks a year ago, collecting 23 sacks and 31 QB hurries. Additionally, the Rangers recorded 53 tackles for loss.
• The Rangers recorded their first two sacks of the season two weeks ago against Forney, with Simon McGoldrick and Jud Harris doing the honors from their linebacker positions. Last week, sophomore Andrew Clark made a fourth-quarter sack in his first career varsity game.

2025 JESUIT REWIND
• Jesuit went 6-6 a season ago and was 5-2 in District 7-6A. The Rangers won their Bi-District game for the 13th time before falling to Denton Guyer in the Area Round.

DMN LISTS 6-6A AS THIRD TOUGHEST DISTRICT IN DALLAS
• The Dallas Morning News rated District 6-6A as the third toughest in the area. Only 11-6A and 8-5A were deemed tougher.

RANGERS RANKED 49TH IN DMN DALLAS TOP 100

• A total of six teams on Jesuit's 2025 schedule advanced to the postseason. All three non-district foes - Hebron, Jesuit New Orleans and Highland Park - along with District 7-6A opponents - Lake Highlands, Richardson and Berkner - played at least one tournament game.

NEW THREADS FOR JESUIT
• Jesuit Dallas signed an apparel contract with UnderArmour which took effect in January. Head coach Brandon Hickman helped design the new uniforms which were debuted against Lake Highlands last season. They wore them again against Richardson and in the area round game versus Guyer.
• Jesuit was the first school in the country (college or high school) to wear UnderArmour's state of the art UA Blur uniform.

BUDDY WALK 2025 RESULTED IN MORE THAN $30,000 IN FUNDRAISING
• The 2025 Buddy Walk to benefit the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas was Sunday, Oct. 19 at Riders Field in Frisco.
• The Buddy Walk® was established in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society to promote awareness, inclusion, and acceptance of individuals with Down Syndrome. The Dallas group is one of 250 associations worldwide who participate.
• Jesuit has been the top participant for a number of years with players in the program from freshman to varsity raising money and participating in the walk. The Rangers combined to raise $33,634 this year after $32,888.22 a year ago.
• The Rangers split into offense and defense to compete to see which group could raise the most money. The combined total exceeded $30,000, led by the offense with 88 members raising $18,160, just ahead of the 85 and $15,475 for the defense. People can still give to the program through December 31.
• Seniors Cade Kirby and Tanner Krug served as the team captains for the event. Samuel Aristizabal, Joe Campisi, Jake Jackson and Wyatt Veltkamp all raised over $1,000 each.
• This year's Buddy Walk is Sunday, Oct. 18 from 11 am-3 pm at Riders Field in Frisco.
• The Jesuit Cheer Team from Ursuline Academy is also participating this year.
