2016:  UIL 9-6A Defensive Player of the Year…Dallas Morning News All-Area Third Team…UIL All-District 9-6A First Team…UIL 6A Baseball State All-Tournament Team…committed in the fall to play baseball at Purdue University…started 43 games for the Rangers, serving as the squad’s starting catcher during their 2016 UIL State Championship season…batted .307 on the year, scattering 39 hits, the fifth highest on the team…tied for the team lead with five doubles, finished second on the season with three triples, closing the season with a .425 slugging percentage and .414 on-base percentage…forced 24 walks on the season, finishing fourth on the team…went on an 11-game hitting streak from Mar. 11 to Apr. 5…drove in a season-high five runs on Mar. 24…cracked a pair of doubles in Jesuit’s 9-1 win in the UIL 6A Region II Final against Atascocita…drove in two runs in the UIL 6A Baseball State Championship game.
