Jesuit Dallas Athletics

Coach Gavin begins his 18th year with the Jesuit Dallas baseball program. A Class of 2000 alumnus, he was a member of the 1999 TCIL State Championship baseball team. 

Gavin attended Texas A&M University before leaving for a job in the music business traveling with and managing internationally-known acts. Upon his return to Dallas, Gavin graduated with a degree in interdisciplinary studies from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2008. In addition to his roles with the baseball team, Gavin is the offensive coordinator of the freshman football team, coordinates athletic transportation for Jesuit Dallas Athletics and works with the Jesuit Educational Technology office.

Gavin is a member of the North Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association, the Texas High School Coaches Association and the American Baseball Coaches Association, and is certified in both Rapsodo Baseball and Driveline Baseball. He was the varsity assistant on the 2016 6A UIL State Championship baseball team, as well as eight district championship teams during his tenure. He served as assistant to the head of scouting in the Premier Scout League in 2010 and coaches with the United Baseball Club in the summers.
