Jesuit Dallas Athletics

Coach Pointer enters his 14th season at Jesuit Dallas, where he oversees the team’s running backs and serves as the JV Gold head coach. Last season, Jesuit’s run game averaged 162.4 yards per game, 4.4 yards per carry, and scored 33 touchdowns.

A 1994 graduate of Waxahachie High School, Pointer was a member of the Indians’ UIL 5A football state championship team in 1992. In addition, Pointer was a first-team all-state baseball player and was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the second round of the 1994 Major League Baseball draft.

Coach Pointer is also the junior varsity baseball coach at Jesuit. Pointer has two children: Tyson ’20 and Brooklyn.
