Trailing by three goals in the first period, Jesuit mounted an impressive comeback attempt with three second-period goals, but fell short, 6-5, to Allen on Thursday at the Dr. Pepper StarCenter in Richardson.
 
Anthony Calabrese moved his goal total on the year to eight with a two-goal performance, his second multi-goal game of the season and the sixth time in the team's eight games in which Calabrese has recorded at least one point.  Alexander McBey, Andrew Ngov and Carson Platt additionally logged goals for the Blue and Gold, while Jesuit net minder Royce Allred made 22 saves in net.
 
Allen scored 11 seconds into the first period, finding twine for three unanswered goals to open the bout before Matthew Wrobel found Calabrese for the first Jesuit goal with one second remaining in the opening stanza. Preston Schwartz and Wrobel connected on Platt's seventh goal of the season, bringing Jesuit to within one with 12:26 remaining in the second.
 
With 8:14 remaining in the second, Allen returned the lead to two goals, but back-to-back tallies by Calabrese and McBey tied the game with 5:07 left in the period. Allen scored a go-ahead, shorthanded goal four minutes into the fourth, adding an insurance goal with 3:42 remaining in the game. Ngov lit the lamp with 2:07 left in regulation to cut the Eagle lead to one goal, but Allen held Jesuit in check over the waning moments of the contest to clinch the win.
 
Jesuit will aim to rebound on Thursday against Coppell, with face off scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Dr. Pepper StarCenter in Richardson.
