Â
Back-to-back goals by Coppell opened the contest before Jesuit lit the lamp for the first time with 2:48 remaining in the opening period. After the Cowboys returned their lead to two goals three minutes into the second, Ngov scored a power play tally with 7:11 left to close the gap to one. However, a Coppell goal with 5:47 was the final salvo that put the Rangers away, as the Cowboy defense kept the Blue and Gold away from the net in the final stanza.
