The Ranger basketball squad celebrated the careers of three departing seniors, closing out the 2016 home slate with a dominant, 68-20 win over Sunset on Friday evening at Walsh Gymnasium. Ranger fourth years

Shawn Regan combined for 23 points, helping the Rangers earn their 20th win of the season.
Sophomore
Michael Jankovich led the team in scoring, scoring 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting and three three-pointers. Regan and junior
Mitch Prendergast scored 12 points apiece, while Kunasek went 3-of-4 from the floor, scoring eight points and logging a team leading five assists while tying Regan with a team-high six boards.
Junior
Dixon Smith posted a seven-point performance, while Prendergast added a team-high three steals. The Rangers (20-8, 10-3 UIL 9-6A) finished the evening shooting 48.3 percent from the floor while hitting 10 three-pointers out-rebounding the Bison, 37-21. Jesuit Dallas added 34 points in the paint, 15 second chance points and 29 points off of 19 Sunset turnovers.
Jesuit opened the game on a 23-2 run, taking a decisive lead early and leading by 20 points at the half. A 17-point third quarter run furthered the lead for the Blue and Gold, who held the Bison to 26.5 percent from the field and 12.5 percent from three-point range. Kunasek, Landon, Regan and senior team manager Alex Reilly were recognized with a standing ovation in the waning moments of the fourth quarter.
The Rangers will next close the regular season by traveling to Skyline High School on Feb. 16 to battle the Raiders at 7:30 p.m.
