A rousing third-quarter rally and a late defensive stand pushed Jesuit Dallas past the Richardson Eagles, 67-64, on Tuesday evening at Walsh Gymnasium. The Rangers improve their winning streak to five games and move to 5-1 in district play while improving their home record to 8-1 on the season.

- Richardson struck first with four unanswered points to start the contest before Abmas hit a three-pointer and converted a conventional three-point play to give Jesuit a two-point lead. With the game tied, 6-6 with 5:30 remaining in the first, Jesuit closed the quarter on an 11-5 run to take a five-point lead into the second.

- Jesuit's lead would last until the 4:57 mark of the second quarter, falling victim to a 14-4 run by the Eagles that would put Richardson up by six with three minutes remaining in the half. Another 5-1 run by Richardson bolstered the lead to eight, but a layup by Jankovich with seven seconds remaining in the second quarter sent the two teams into the halftime break with the Eagles taking a 34-28 lead.

- The Rangers came charging out of halftime, hitting five of their first seven shots of the second half to tie the game at 40-40 with four minutes remaining in the third quarter. A traditional three-point play from Hatzmann gave the Rangers the lead back before a three-pointer from Abmas sent the Ranger faithful into a frenzy while handing Jesuit a four-point lead. Jesuit buried six three-pointers throughout the second half.

- Richardson took the lead back momentarily with 2:45 remaining in the fourth, but the resilient Rangers closed the game on a 9-4 run to snuff the Eagles' rally. The Rangers converted six-of-seven free-throw attempts down the final 2:25 of the bout to clinch the victory.
