Rangers Rally Late to Forge Tie Against W.T. White

Two goals from senior Israel Ollarzarbal tallied a pair of goals, but a late charge by the Jesuit Dallas soccer program fell short in a 3-3 tie with W.T. White on Friday evening at Postell Stadium.

Ollarzabal scored goals in the 4th and 25th minute, logging both tallies off of set pieces. John Ramirez and J.P. Koshakji picked up assists on Ollarzabal's second goal, which gave Jesuit Dallas a 2-1 lead at the halftime break. Senior Andrew Gilchrist added Jesuit's third goal of the contest on a penalty kick in the 68th minute to tie the bout with just over 10 minutes remaining in regulation.

W.T. White outshot Jesuit, 23-11, but the goalkeeping tandem of junior Connor Tullis and Joseph Banul stood strong in cage, making six saves apiece to keep the Rangers in contention. Senior Ryan Davis tallied Jesuit's last shot on target on one of Jesuit's five corner kicks, working his way free from the Longhorn defense but sending a diving head over the crossbar.

Jesuit Dallas will close the first circuit of district play on Tuesday when the Rangers hit the road for a 7 p.m. battle against the Berkner Rams before returning home on Friday, Feb. 23 for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff against Coppell.
