Jesuit Dallas rebounded from a rough loss to Eagle Mountain with a resounding, 38-19 win over Rock Rugby on Saturday at Postell Stadium. With the victory, Ranger rugby improves to 3-2 on the season heading into a weekend matchup against Jesuit New Orleans.

Jacob Jowdy excelled for the Blue and Gold, scoring three tries to lead the squad. Senior
Alexander Kowalske posted a pair of scores while junior
Noah Villasana found pay dirt to help the Ranger effort. Jesuit Dallas took a 12-5 lead to kick off the contest, but Rock Rugby came charging back to take a 17-12 lead.

In the second half, Jowdy found a seam between two Rock defenders, breaking into the open field and scoring a 35-yard try to tie the game and give momentum back to Jesuit. Jowdy struck again midway through the second half, taking a free kick from Rock and erupting for another long run into the in-goal area to spot Jesuit a one-possession advantage.

The Rangers clinched the victory after winning a line-in that put the Blue and Gold close in to the goal line before assistant captain
Maximillian Telfer drove the ball close to the goal line. Jesuit scored the try to put the Rangers ahead for good with under 10 minutes remaining in regulation.

Against Eagle Mountain, the Rangers jumped out to a large first half lead before the visitors came storming back on the Blue and Gold. Jesuit looked poised to capture the win late in the second half and were driving deep in Eagle Mountain territory, but an intercepted pass turned into an 80-yard try for Eagle Mountain as time expired.
