In a defensive showdown between two determined squads in the metroplex, Jesuit Dallas used a three-goal fourth quarter swing to push past the Plano West Wolves, 6-3 on Mar. 7 in Plano, Texas. With the win, the Rangers remain unbeaten heading into a two-game spring break slate in Washington, D.C.

Drew Martin logged three groundballs apiece, anchoring a Jesuit Dallas backline that excelled in transition, helping the Rangers go 28-of-28 in clear attempts while holding the Plano West Wolves to 12-of-18. The Rangers went 9-of-11 at the faceoff "x" and secured 24 groundballs compared to 10 for Plano West, securing five groundballs in the fourth quarter to help swing momentum in their favor and contribute to the big rally.

- Jesuit jumped on the scoreboard with two unanswered goals to start the contest. Both teams were held in check to start the bout before Hovivian snapped the scoreless tie with an unassisted goal with 5:12 remaining in the quarter. Ellison ripped a shot past the Plano West netminder with 3:49 left in the first but two goals within the final 2:30 by the hosting Wolves sent the game into the second tied at two goals apiece.

- The lone goal of the second was scored by Hassell with 29 seconds remaining in the first half as Jesuit Dallas finally found twine after sending six attempts towards the cage in vein during the quarter. Suarez went 2-for-2 in faceoffs during the quarter and the Rangers stopped four shot attempts by Plano West to take a narrow, 3-2 lead into the halftime break.

- Plano West held Jesuit in check during the third, stopping all nine shot attempts and withstanding a strong performance by the Ranger defense that caused four failed clear attempts to tie the game with 34 seconds remaining in the quarter.

- Jesuit jumped back into the lead 45 seconds into the fourth on Ellison's second goal of the game, maintaining possession for most of the quarter, going 6-for-6 in clear attempts and launching a game-high 10 shots at the Plano West cage. Sprock found Buell with 4:28 remaining in the quarter for a critical insurance goal before Hovivian's second goal with 16 seconds remaining in the game handed the Rangers the victory.

Jesuit will travel to the east coast to take on Archbishop Spaulding and Gonzaga Prep as part of the Jesuit Lacrosse Invitational. The Rangers will battle Spaulding at 3 p.m. EST on March 10 at the University of Maryland before the annual battle with Gonzaga takes place on Mar. 13 on the campus of Gonzaga College Prep.
