Jesuit Dallas earned the fifth University Interscholastic League (UIL) District Championship in program history with a 70-56 win over McKinney Boyd on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at Boyd High School. The Rangers close the district season on a six-game winning streak and an 11-2 mark in league play to split the district championship with Allen but earn the top seed in the district courtesy of the regular season sweep of the Eagles.

John Phillips found Hollerich for a floating jumper at the buzzer. Perryman erupted for 10 points over the first 5:30 of the second quarter, leading the charge for a Jesuit offense which used an 18-11 run to take a 34-27 lead with 2:40 remaining in the half. Abmas and senior

Back-to-back three-pointers to open the third quarter by Abmas kept the lead above double digits as the Rangers continued to hold off a determined Broncos three-point shooting contingent. Marble threw down his first dunk of the game off of a missed three-pointer, sparking the Rangers closing the third quarter shooting 4-of-9 from the floor while Boyd went 2-of-12 from the field to allow the Rangers a 13-point advantage going into the fourth quarter.
Â
Two additional dunks by Marble over the first four minutes of the fourth quarter allowed the Rangers to cross the 60-point plateau to give the Blue and Gold a 15-point lead with 4:54 left. The Rangers maintained the double-digit lead throughout the remainder of the fourth quarter to secure the victory.
