Jesuit's offense racked up eight runs in the first three innings, scoring a five-inning, 13-2 win over Boyd on Friday in McKinney, Texas. Jesuit saw seven runs driven in from the top four hitters in the Ranger order as Jesuit forged a split in the second district series of the season.

Connor Chavez led the way, hitting 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Juniors
Jordan Lawlar,
Braxton Boyle and
Alek Houillion drove in two runs each as senior
Marco Marrero added a two-RBI performance. Houillion launched his first home run of the season as Lawlar, Marrero and senior
Garrett Reuben recorded doubles. Senior
Jack Lynch earned the win on the mount, securing his third win of the season with five innings of work on the rubber and eight strikeouts.

In the top of the first, Lawlar walked with one out before Houillion ripped a home run to left to give Jesuit an early 2-0 lead. Boyd would score twice in the bottom of the inning to tie the game at 2-2 before Jesuit added two additional runs in the top of the second. Junior
Tanner Jones was walked to open the inning then scored on a double to left center by Marrero plated the junior to give the Rangers the lead back. Sophomore
Gavin Perryman, who pinch ran for Marrero, would score Jesuit's fourth run on a single by Boyle.

A four-run, three-hit third spotted the Rangers a six-run lead. The Rangers exhibited a stellar knowledge of the base paths as Reuben scored on a wild pitch and Jones stole home. Senior
Caden Carlson would score on a sacrifice fly by Lawlar before another RBI single by Boyle plated Chavez to give Jesuit an 8-2 lead. The Rangers would add four more runs in the top of the fourth as Marrero and Chavez ripped RBI singles before Lawlar plated two more Rangers with a two-run double to left center.

Jesuit would finish the game with a run in the fifth on an RBI groundout by Jones which plated Mack. Lynch would cap the complete game by retiring the Broncos in order to clinch the win.
