The Rangers erupted for four home runs en route to defeating Little Elm, 12-1, in a non-district bout on Saturday in Little Elm, Texas. Senior
Jalon Mack launched a grand slam in the sixth inning to cap the win as Jesuit will head into a critical district series against Prosper with a 14-7 record.

Mack finished the game 2-for-3 with five RBI, one of four Rangers to secure a multi-hit game. Junior
Tyson Pointer went a perfect 4-fof-4 with a home run, two doubles, two RBI and a run while junior
Jordan Lawlar went deep, closing the game hitting 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored. Senior
Jack Lynch launched a home run,
Witt Chambers went 2-for-4 with two runs scored while senior
Garrett Reuben added a double.

On the mound, junior
Ryan Messick earned his fourth win of the season with a four-inning outing, striking out five batters while only allowing one run on four hits. Senior
Ben Shepherd allowed one hit over the final two innings of the game, striking out a batter.

Jesuit struck early in the top of the first inning, plating two runs on two hits and one Little Elm error. With one out in the inning, Jesuit placed two runners on base after a double by Lawlar and a walk to Lynch. Both runners would score on a failed pick-off throw by the Lobos catcher. Little Elm would add a run in the bottom of the inning to cut the Jesuit lead in half.

In the fourth inning, Jesuit would take a 5-1 lead with four runs in the frame. A Lawlar double to center sparked the rally before Lynch's first home run of the season, a two-run blast to left field, plated two more runs. Pointer would add his first home run of the year for Jesuit's third extra-base hit of the inning to send Jesuit to a four-run advantage.

The Rangers would do most of its damage in the sixth after a single by Chambers and double by Mack scored one in the fifth. Back-to-back doubles by Reuben and Pointer kicked of the inning with back-to-back doubles to score one before the Rangers loaded the bases after a walk to sophomore
Gavin Perryman, a single by junior
Braxton Boyle and a Little Elm error which allowed Chambers to reach base and provided the opportunity for sophomore
Connor Chavez to score.

Mack launched a deep fly to right center, clearing the bases with his first home run of the season, giving Jesuit the 12-1 run heading into the final inning. The Rangers would retire the Lobos in order in the bottom of the sixth to clinch the win.

Jesuit will head north on the Dallas North Tollway to open the series against Prosper on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., returning to Wright Field on Friday, Mar. 29 at 7:30 p.m.
