Jesuit Dallas opened the Scotland Yard Classic with a pair of victories, upending Denton Guyer with a 10-2, run-rule victory before defeating the hosting Yellow Jackets of Rockwall, 7-3, in the nightcap.

Matthew Cox led the way on the mound against Guyer, throwing five innings, allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out a batter. Senior

Jalon Mack posted two RBI for the Rangers while Lawlar and senior

In the first inning, Denton Guyer took the lead on a sacrifice fly. Sophomore
Connor Chavez crossed the plate on a passed ball to even up the score at the bottom of the frame. Carlson took an 0-1 pitch deep to left field for the first home run of his varsity career, giving Jesuit a 2-1 lead in the second inning. Lawlar would go deep in the bottom of the third, securing his second home run of the year to increase the lead to two runs.

Denton Guyer added a run on a fifth-inning home run, but the Rangers would run away with the win in the bottom of the sixth. Mack walked to lead off the inning before a double from Perryman moved the senior to third base. Mack would score on a wild pitch before Marrero laced a single through the right side that scored Perryman. Lynch entered as a pinch hitter and ripped a double to center that scored sophomore
Tanner Jones and increase the lead to four.

Chavez reached after being hit by a pitch then moved to second on a wild pitch which scored Lynch, scoring on a single to center field by senior
Garrett Reuben which gave Jesuit an 8-2 lead with two outs in the inning. In his second at-bat of the inning, Mack ended the game with a single through the right side to score Reuben and sophomore
Braxton Boyle to clinch the win for Jesuit.

vs. Rockwall

The Rangers saw another strong pitching performance match an eyebrow raising offensive outing en route to a 7-3 win over Rockwall. Lawlar added his second home run of the day in the third inning as Mack and Lynch drove in two runs apiece. Chavez and Reuben secured two hits each as Chavez added his first triple of the season.

Alek Houillion went four strong innings with three runs on two hits and four strikeouts to earn his third consecutive win of the year before sophomore David Day took over in his varsity debut, throwing two innings of no-hit work, striking out three of his six batters faced.

Jesuit jumped onto Rockwall for three runs in the first inning off of a single up the right field line by Boyle and a two-run double to center by Mack. Lawlar's home run and a two-run double by Lynch bolstered the lead to six runs before Rockwall plated two runs in the third and an additional run in the fifth to cut the Rangers' six-run lead in half.

Day entered the game in the bottom of the fifth Reuben plated Chavez with a single to right field to score Jesuit's final run of the game before Day shut the door on the Yellow Jackets. Day entered the game in the bottom of the sixth and held the lead despite a runner scoring on a failed pickoff attempt, recording the final two outs of the inning via strikeout to send Jesuit into the seventh with a three-run lead. Day finished off the Yellow Jackets in the sixth with a strikeout to start the frame, closing out the bout with a runner at first.

Jesuit Dallas will continue the Scotland Yard Classic on Friday against Flower Mound and Argyle. The Rangers will battle an 11-4 Jaguar team from Flower Mound at 2:30 p.m. before a matchup against Argyle, currently ranked as the top team in the nation according to the
