Southlake Carroll entered Tuesday's Texas High School Lacrosse League (THSLL) West Division matchup with hopes of upsetting one of the top teams in the division. The Ranger lacrosse squad turned around a two-goal first quarter deficit to remain unbeaten in the state of Texas with an 11-7 win over the Dragons on Tuesday. The Jesuit defense locked down on Southlake Carroll over the final three quarters, outscoring the Dragons, 8-2.

Southlake Carroll jumped out to a 2-0 lead before Jesuit found the scoreboard on an unassisted goal by Rilley. Jesuit would head into the second quarter trailing by two goals but responded with goals in the second quarter from Hovivian and Rilley to go into the halftime break tied, 5-5. The Ranger defense only allowed one shot from Southlake Carroll in the second quarter while disrupting three of the Dragons' six clear attempts.

Jesuit took over in the third quarter as the Ranger midfield secured six ground balls in the third quarter compared to two for Southlake Carroll. Goals by Priddy and Hovivian countered a single Dragon goal to give Jesuit a two-goal lead going into the fourth.

The Jesuit defense was forced to stand tall in the fourth as Southlake Carroll took six shots down the stretch, but the Ranger backline only yielded one goal while Rilley, Buell and Metz provided the insurance goals for the Rangers to clinch the win.

After the Easter break, Jesuit will return to action with a week jam-packed of rivalry matchups to close the regular season. On Apr. 23, the Rangers will travel to Episcopal School of Dallas for a 7:30 p.m. battle which will determine the district champion and subsequent top seed in the THSLL Division I State Tournament. Jesuit will then welcome Highland Park to Postell Stadium for the team's regular season finale on Apr. 26.
