Jesuit Dallas held Mesquite to only 10 points over a 19-minute span en route to securing a 71-35 win over the Skeeters on Tuesday at Walsh Gym. The Rangers pick up their second win of the season and first at home after shooting 57.1 percent from the floor, 58.3 percent from three-point range and amassing a 37-21 rebounding advantage.

Gavin Perryman led the team in scoring with 16 points, hitting six of his nine attempted field goals and adding four buckets from behind the arc. Senior
Conor Moore snagged a team-leading 11 rebounds and scored nine points, blocking two shots and picking up a pair of assists. Senior

Ben Johnson each went 3-of-4 from three-point range to finish with nine points, junior
Matthew McKinzie added eight points, and senior
Shane Hatzmann tied Perryman for the team lead with four assists apiece.

Jesuit scored 22 points in the paint and added 18 second-chance points off of 11 offensive rebounds. Holding the Skeeters to 27.8 percent three-point shooting, they were able to force 13 turnovers and won the battle in the paint, 22-14.

The Rangers came out of the gate with momentum, hitting seven of nine field goal attempts, five of which were three-points, in the first quarter to take a 10-point lead into the second. Jesuit's defense took over at that point, forcing low percentage shots by Mesquite that resulted in the Skeeters shooting a 0-for-9 clip in the second stanza that allowed Jesuit to win the quarter, 21-1 and take a 41-11 lead into halftime.

Moore scored six of his nine points in the third quarter, including a two-handed slam with 5:09 remaining in the period that gave the Rangers a 33-point lead. Junior
Sky Tschurr added a three-pointer for Jesuit's first basket of the fourth quarter, senior
Xavier Reichenstein tacked on his first varsity bucket later in the quarter and junior
Grant Kostos picked up four points on back-to-back jumpers in the lane to add to Jesuit's scoring total as the clock wound down in the fourth quarter.

Jesuit will return to action on Friday, when the Blue and Gold head to the end of the Dallas North Tollway to face Prosper at 7:30 p.m. The Rangers will return to Walsh Gym on Friday, Dec. 4 to take on Arlington Sam Houston.
