Robert Fitzgerald scored a 79-yard touchdown on a first quarter punt return, sending an jolt through the Rangers that helped the Blue and Gold secure a 42-0 win in the regular season finale against Richardson on Wednesday. Jesuit enters the postseason as the top seed in District 7-6A Division II and will host a bi-district round playoff game against Arlington on Dec. 11 at 7 p.m.
Jesuit's defense provided yet another stellar performance, recording nine tackles for loss as a team and holding Richardson to only 78 yards of total offense. Senior
Pierce Jackson led the team in tackling for the second straight game with eight stops while senior
Peter Melle racked up seven tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack. Senior
Sy Mendenhall picked up three tackles, a tackle for loss, a forced fumble and interception while classmate
Jack Judson forced another fumble and tacked on six tackles. Senior
Cooper Manning picked up his second interception of the season, senior
Chase Jackson made five tackles, including 1.5 behind the line of scrimmage, and Fitzgerald added five stops to his all-around effort.

Jake Taylor led the way on offense with three touchdowns on 21 carries, closing out the regular season with 137 yards. Junior
Gage Roy was proficient once again behind center, connecting on 15-of-25 pass attempts for 201 yards and a touchdown to junior
Cole Younger. Taylor added a team-leading five receptions for 62 yards while junior
Hunter Krepp caught two passes for 51 yards. Junior
Parker Brown went 2-for-2 in field goal attempts, connecting from 26 and 34 yards out while senior
Kyle Heckel picked up a blocked extra point attempt and dove into the end zone for a two-point conversion right before halftime.

Jesuit will take on Arlington at Postell Stadium, reigniting the rivalry with the Colts that served as the Rangers' season-opener in 2018 and 2019. The Rangers return to the postseason for the 10
th time in the last 11 years, and will host a playoff game at Postell Stadium for the seventh time in the last eight years. The Colts finished the regular season with a 4-5 record and a 2-4 mark in district play.
