Alec Gomez scored for the Rangers, but Lake Highlands scored two goals in the second half to forge a 2-2 tie with Jesuit on Friday at Wildcat-Ram Stadium. Jesuit's offense took 11 shots in the first half, including six attempts on goal, but the Wildcat defense was able to limit the damage in the second half.

In the 16th minute, Jesuit drew a foul in the box that resulted in a penalty kick for the Rangers. Gomez took the penalty for the Rangers and slotted the shot in the bottom left corner of the net for the 2-0 lead at halftime. Lake Highlands scored goals in the 55th and 69th minute to secure the tie.

The Rangers will return to action on Tuesday, Feb. 2 for their first meeting of the season against MacArthur. Jesuit will return to Postell Stadium on Friday, Feb. 5, when the Blue and Gold will welcome Irving Nimitz for a 7:15 p.m. kick-off.
