Multi-goal games by senior Seth Dragojevic and junior Santiago Diaz helped Jesuit Dallas kick off 2021 with a 6-0 win over Denton County on Thursday at the StarCenter in Farmers Branch.

Diaz and sophomore William Sahadevan finished the game tied for the team lead with three points as Sahadevan picked up a goal and two assists. Senior Miles Dikun picked up Jesuit's final goal of the contest, a run which saw the Rangers score one in the first, three in the second and two in the third period.

Senior Austin Gass, junior Jack Sweda and sophomore Ryan Virkar all added assists as freshman Andrew Zang secured 35 saves in goal to secure his first career shutout victory.

The Jesuit defense stood firm in the first period, withstanding 13 shots from Denton County before Dikun lit the lamp to break the scoreless tie with 2:43 left in the opening stanza. Dragojevic, who pushed his goal total to eight with his second straight multi-goal game, scored 20 seconds into the second to give Jesuit a 2-0 lead before adding his second of the game midway through the period to increase the lead to three.

Diaz's first tally with 1:36 left in the second gave Jesuit a 4-0 lead into the intermission before Sahadevan's first goal of the year opened the third. Diaz scored shorthanded with 2:20 left in the game to give Jesuit its sixth and final goal.

The Rangers will return to the ice on Thursday, Jan. 21 against Flower Mound.
