Rangers Remain Unbeaten with Sweep of Plano West, Flower Mound

Jesuit Dallas improved its winning streak to 23 meets with a sweep of Flower Mound and Plano West on Oct. 12 at the LISD Westside Natatorium. The Rangers defeated Flower Mound, 217-166 and outlasted the Wolves, 204-175 to move to 3-0 on the year.

The Rangers picked up five event victories on the day, as Leonard Pelaez led off the day with a win in the 200 free, setting a new season-best with a 1:46.63. Sophomore William Savarese dominated the 200 I.M. with a 1:55.75 for Jesuit's second individual win of the day. Sophomore Samuel An notched his first win in the one-meter dive, recording a 169.95 before Palmer Bowman swam a 4:57.01 to earn the win in the 500 free. Jesuit picked up 14 top-three finishes at the event and closed out the meet in strong fashion, winning the final two relay events of the afternoon. 

Jesuit's 200 free relay team, consisting of Alexander Hung, James Savarese, Leonardo Pelaez and William Savarese hit the wall in 1:30.22 for the victory before Leonardo Pelaez, Alexander Hung, James Savarese and William Savarese closed the meet with a 3:17.78 in the 400 free.

Jesuit's season will continue on Oct. 19, when the Rangers travel to Don Rodenbaugh Stadium to battle Allen and Lovejoy in the Rangers' second tri-meet of the year. The week will conclude on Friday, Oct. 22, when the Rangers will host an intersquad scrimmage at 12:30 p.m. in the first meet inside the David A. Segal Aquatic Center.
