Behind a rushing attack that racked up 474 yards and nine total touchdowns, Jesuit Dallas secured a convincing, 69-36 win over Arlington for a University Interscholastic League (UIL) Region I-6A Bi-District Round win on Friday at Postell Stadium. The Rangers advance to play state-ranked No. 9 Denton Guyer in the area round, with the details for the game yet to be determined.

Robert Fitzgerald scored five touchdowns, the most for a Ranger since E.J. Smith found the end zone five times against Richardson on Oct. 6, 2017, finishing the bout with 170 yards on a team-high 19 carries. Junior
Jake Musso erupted for two massive touchdowns, carries of 58 and 66 yards, to lead the team with 174 yards on nine carries. Musso also added a 50-yard touchdown reception for his third touchdown of the day. Juniors

Charlie Schmidt added rushing touchdowns to cap a Ranger running back corps that averaged 10.8 yards per carry on 44 carries. Senior

David Long led the charge with 11 tackles and tackle for loss on the day. Junior
Luke Buckner finished the contest with eight tackles and two sacks while senior
Walker Houdek secured nine tackles alongside a key pass break-up in the third quarter. Arlington scored to open the second half, recovered an onside kick and was aiming to close the gap to 18 points, but a one-handed deflection by Houdek caused the Colts' third turnover on downs and led to another Jesuit touchdown that increased the lead to 55-23 early in the fourth. The Rangers will now matchup against the 10-1 Wildcats, who advanced to the area round with a 34-14 win over Flower Mound. The winner of the area round matchup will take on either El Paso Eastlake, who defeated San Angelo Central 21-17, or Trophy Club Byron Nelson, who upended District 3-6A Champion Weatherford, 35-14.
