Senior Henry Gilker became the latest member of the Jesuit Dallas soccer team to record a hat trick, scoring a trio of first half goals to help Jesuit defeat Lake Highlands, 6-1, on Tuesday at Postell Stadium. The Rangers, who took over first place in District 7-6A with a win over Irving on Monday, improve to 5-0-1 in district and are currently on a five-match winning streak.

Gilker scored in the third, 24th and 27th minute to give Jesuit a commanding 3-0 lead at the halftime break. Junior
Arnold Perez-Valenzuela notched his second goal of the season in the 46th minute before senior
Ryan Shea tacked on goals in the 47th and 54th minute. Senior
Cullen Scott added to his team-leading point total with four assists on the night, adding helpers on two of Gilker's goals and both of Shea's tallies.

Sophomore goalkeeper
Cole Hines secured five saves for the Rangers as the team's defense continued to excel. Over the last five games, the Rangers have outscored opponents, 25-5 and are allowing only 0.92 goals per game this season.

Jesuit's offensive power has been on display over the last few weeks as the Rangers are averaging an unprecedented 5.2 goals per game for a 4.2 goal differential over that same span. Scott, who signed with the University of Pennsylvania earlier this month, has 10 goals and eight assists for 28 points over that stretch while Shea has nine goals and three assists to his credit.

The Rangers will aim to continue their surge on Friday, when the Blue and Gold will host MacArthur at 7 p.m. The Cardinals, currently tied for sixth in the district, most recently tied Berkner, 0-0, on Feb. 22.
