A stellar effort on the mound by senior 
Tucker Huhn kept the Rangers unbeaten in district play with a 7-0 win over Lake Highlands on Tuesday at Wright Field. The Rangers secured the season sweep over the Wildcats with the victory and will head into a two-game set against MacArthur after winning eight of their last nine games.
 
Huhn racked up four strikeouts to earn his third win of the season, going the distance for the third time this season. After Tuesday's performance, Huhn now has a 1.58 earned run average with 29 strikeouts on the year, and has not lost a decision since Mar. 5.
 
Senior 
Drew Messick launched a pair of doubles, driving in a run while scoring two. Senior 
Jordan Lawlar secured his fifth multi-hit game over the last two weeks, going 2-for-4 from the plate and scoring twice. Junior 
David Long drove in a run for the Rangers in the fifth as senior 
Charlie McCollum and senior 
Gavin Perryman each scored runs.
 
The Rangers will now turn their attention to MacArthur, who is currently 3-1 in district play. The Cardinals split their two-game series against Lake Highlands last week before sweeping Nimitz with an 11-5 win on Mar. 20 and a 2-1 victory on Tuesday. Game one of the series will take place in Irving on Mar. 26 before the Rangers host MacArthur on Mar. 30.
