A late inning comeback capped by a two-run, walk-off single by
Myles Tucker helped Jesuit Dallas finish the Collin County Invitational with a 5-1 record as the Blue and Gold secured a 6-5 win over Denton in the nightcap on Saturday. The Rangers started off the day with a convincing, 8-0 win over Keller Fossil Ridge, earning the team's third shutout of the tournament.

Jesuit Dallas entered the sixth inning trailing Denton, 5-3 after the Broncos plated three runs in the top of the fifth. Senior
Nick Lazzara started the rally with a pinch-hit single through the right side, and pinch runner
Charlie McCollum moved to second base on a single by junior
Cash Riley.

Grant Senick pushed both runners into scoring position, and senior
Connor Chavez cashed in with a single to right field, plating McCollum and cutting the lead to one run. Tucker launched a single to right on the ensuing at bat, scoring Riley and Chavez to allow Jesuit to walk off the win.

David Long started on the mound for the Rangers, throwing 4.2 innings of work and striking out six batters. Fellow third year
Jake Storey ultimately picked up the win after throwing 1.1 innings, striking out three and keeping the Broncos off the scoreboard over the final 1.1 innings of work.

Jack Barr secured the win in the first game, throwing four innings and striking out three batters. Tucker added two additional hits in the opening game, junior
Tommy Delaney hit a double and drove in a run while Chavez, Riley and senior
Jack Mason each drove in a run.

Jesuit Dallas secured five wins at a tournament for the second consecutive week and will head into next week's Frisco Tournament with a 10-2 record. The Rangers will open the tournament at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Mar. 11 against McKinney North at Dr. Pepper Ballpark, the home of the Frisco Rough Riders.
