Jake Storey set the tone as the Rangers picked up their 10th district win, holding onto a two-game lead over Richardson, as the team heads into its penultimate series of the year against Irving.

The Rangers finished the game with seven hits on the night, including doubles from seniors
Connor Chavez,
Nick Lazzara and
Charlie McCollum. Senior
Gavin Perryman led the team with up two RBI, recording a sacrifice fly in the third before recording a run-scoring single in the fifth. Seniors
Jordan Lawlar and
Drew Messick drove in first inning runs, and junior
Tommy Delaney drove in a run in the third.

On the mound, junior
Jake Storey picked up his eighth win of the year with six innings of scoreless work, striking out eight batters. Over his last four plate appearances, Storey has struck out 22 hitters over 17.1 innings and currently leads the team with 51 strikeouts on the year.

The Rangers will now move into a series with the Irving H.S. Tigers, a two-game series that will begin on Friday at Wright Field. Jesuit Dallas baseball will celebrate its senior class prior to the 7 p.m. first pitch, honoring the members of the Ranger baseball class of 2021. The Rangers will close out another busy week on Saturday in a non-district bout against Midlothian.
