Cash Riley electrified the Jesuit Dallas offense, and the Rangers responded by scoring three or more runs in the second, third, fourth and fifth innings en route to a 14-1 win over Arlington in the first round of the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Region I-6A Bi-District Round on Friday at Arlington H.S.

Tucker Huhn went the distance on the mound with a five-run outing, striking out seven and only allowing two hits to pick up his seventh win of the season. Lawrence also finished the game 3-for-3 from the plate while senior

Gavin Perryman drove in two runs apiece to cap the Rangers' scoring column on the night.

Messick kept the momentum going with a double down the right field line to lead off the top of the third, and came home on a single by Lawrence. Senior
Connor Chavez raced down the first base line on a dropped third strike later in the inning, and an error by Arlington allowed Perryman and Lawrence to score, increasing Jesuit's lead to seven runs.

Arlington got their first hit of the game in bottom of fourth and loaded the bases with no outs in the frame. Huhn worked his way out of the inning with back-to-back strikeouts, shaking off a bases loaded single with his third strikeout of the inning to retire the side. Senior
Charlie McCollum scored in the fourth inning on a single by Lawrence, powering his way through a collision with the Colts' third baseman and finding his way to the plate for the team's eighth run of the game.

The series will shift to Wright Field for Saturday's 1 p.m. start. The winner of the series will advance to take on Coppell, who swept Guyer with an 8-4 win on Friday.
