Jesuit Swimming Ranks Ninth in Nation-Wide NISCA Dual Meet Rankings

7/22/2021 11:42:00 AM

Another undefeated season earned the Jesuit Dallas swimming and diving team a spot inside of the top 10 of the 2020-21 NISCA National Dual Meet Team Rankings, announced by the organization on July 19. The Rangers finished the season ranked ninth in the nation, moving up two spots from their 2019-20 ranking.

The Rangers finished the 2020-21 season with a 10-0 record, battling its way through a stacked schedule to extend their winning streak to 20 meets, a run that dates back to the 2018-19 season. Jesuit dominated its competition throughout the year, winning five meets by 50 or more points and a pair of meets, a 215-97 win over Highland Park on Nov. 10 and a 230-68 victory against Frisco Independence on Jan. 7, by over 100 points.

Jesuit's spot on the national rankings provides a proper punctuation mark to a historic season for the Blue and Gold. The Rangers pieced together a stellar season, finishing second at the UIL Region 2-6A meet to secure the best regional finish in program history. Securing a complete team effort, Jesuit saw every swimmer set a personal best at the event as the team harnessed the momentum earned from the eighth district championship win in program history.

The 2021-22 season is set to begin on Saturday, September 25, when the Rangers take on Bishop Lynch at the Kaycee Pool. Jesuit will also host its first competitive meet in the newly opened David A. Segal Family Aquatic Center during the 2021-22 season.
