Cameron Martin aided the Jesuit Dallas offense to a 38-34 win over Flower Mound Marcus on Friday at Postell Stadium. A.key fourth quarter turnover helped Jesuit gain a two-possession lead with 6:23 left in the fourth to open the door for Jesuit's first season-opening win since 2015.
Roy finished the contest with 234 yards on 26 completions, a 74.3 completion percentage and two touchdowns to Krepp, who would close the game with 119 receiving yards. Fitzgerald led the team with 72 yards on the ground and two trips into the end zone while Martin impressed in his varsity debut with 28 rushing yards and a touchdown to go along with six receptions for 40 yards. Cade Jordan knocked a 25-yard field goal through the uprights to give Jesuit an 11-point lead, and the Rangers were able to shake off a Marauder touchdown by running out the fourth quarter clock with an over five-minute drive to capture the victory.
Jesuit will aim for its second win on Sept. 3 when the Rangers travel to Rockwall H.S. to battle the Yellow Jackets. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. from Wilkerson-Sanders Stadium.
